Our Calling

Heaven's Family is a ministry called to love God and His people around the world, particularly the "least of these" of whom Jesus spoke in His foretelling of the judgment of the sheep and the goats in Matthew 25.

As our name, Heaven's Family, reflects, we're also a family of people who express our love for Jesus by serving each other. The ministry organization is simply a means through which the world-wide family members love one another. That family consists not only of the ministry staff, but also includes every contributor and beneficiary. Through Heaven's Family, those of us who are blessed with more can share our blessings, meeting the pressing needs of our family members around the world who have much less. In this God is glorified, and we prove our faith in Christ.

Through our Focused Funds, Heaven's Family serves poor Christians who are facing even more daunting challenges than poverty, such as persecution, hunger, unsafe water, natural disasters, widowhood, illness, orphanhood, physical handicaps, and so on. We also establish micro-banks that help enterprising believers lift themselves from poverty through small-business loans. Through our orphan care initiative, Orphan's Tear, we serve over 1,400 orphans living in more than 50 Christian orphanages in 8 nations. Through the teaching arm of our ministry, Shepherd Serve, we equip pastors by means of teaching found on our website (in a growing number of languages), and pastors' conferences around the world. We're also equipping tens of thousands of pastors in the poor nations through the distribution of a 500-page equipping manual titled, The Disciple-Making Minister, now distributed in more than 20 languages.
