Books for Discipleship Ministry

"To be successful in God's eyes, it is essential that a minister understand the goal that God has set before him. If he doesn't understand his goal, he has no way of gauging if he has succeeded or failed in reaching it. He may think he has succeeded when he has actually failed.

Making Mga Tinun-an for Jesus

As Jojie leafed through the pages of the thick English book, reading chapter titles, he was immediately struck by how many key biblical truths were addressed—something woefully absent from the other Christian literature he had ever read. My fellow believers desperately need to learn and understand these principles regarding true discipleship, he thought.

David Who?

The author of The Disciple Making Minister, David Servant, and I have a lot in common. We share the same first name, obviously, and we both work for Heaven's Family. And so he was baptized—a potential death-sentence for those who turn away from Islam. Through our Persecuted Christians Fund, Heaven's Family helped relocate Shaheem to another country where he could be safe, attend Bible school, and prepare for ministry.

Books for Discipleship Fund

Based on questions he received from pastors during years of conducting pastors' conferences around the world, David wrote The Disciple-Making Minister with Christian leaders in mind who have had little opportunity to receive Bible training. Sadly, many Christian leaders in poor countries are being seduced by unbalanced and misleading television preachers who broadcast internationally. Those Christian leaders subsequently become the proverbial "blind leading the blind," to borrow Jesus' expression. The Disciple-Making Minister helps Christian leaders to reclaim their biblical calling to make disciples who obey all of Jesus' commandments. Its 500 pages cover many topics relevant to Christian ministry.

A Costly Conversion

"An hour is coming for everyone who kills you to think that he is offering service to God" (John 16:2). I sometimes receive email reports from Heaven's Family partners, such as Asad in Northern India, that break my heart. They remind me of the life-and-death struggles our brothers and sisters frequently face as former Muslims who are living in—and nearly forgotten in—Islamic countries. Let me tell you about one such family, concerning whom I just received one of those emails.
