Akumu rejoices that her years of pain are finally over

Dear Friends,

A couple months ago I received an email from Kevin, a Christian brother in Uganda, asking for help from the Critical Medical Needs Ministry. He told me about Akumu Janifer, a young 23-year-old woman living in great pain. Akumu slipped from her mother’s arms when she was just 6 months old, but her mother never sought medical care for her and she seemed to get better.

Baby Akumu eventually stopped her crying, but damage to her ribs went unhealed and undetected—until she fell on slippery ground at the age of 19. The pain Akumu experienced after that fall never went away—it grew worse, in fact, until at 23 she finally visited a doctor. It was then, revealed by x-rays, that the injuries from her fall as a baby were discovered.

For 4 years Akumu’s severe pain prevented her from normal activities, Kevin told me, or from pursuing her dream of serving the Lord. But the good news was that medicine and therapy could bring the healing she needed…and for just $250!

Akumu is now restored to pain-free health, and she’s praising the Lord for providing her healing through you who gave generously to help her.
