The history of Shepherd Serve
Shepherd Serve was founded in 2002 by David Servant as a means to equip Christian leaders in the developing world. Initially, this was done by means of pastors' conferences, which David hosted in various nations.
David quickly realized that the need for equipping Christian leaders with biblical truth was much greater than what could be accomplished through conferences. So he wrote a 500-page equipping manual titled The Disciple-Making Minister, and he began efforts to have it translated into other languages and distributed to Christian leaders around the world. To date, The Disciple-Making Minister has been translated into 23 languages, and tens of thousands of copies have been placed in the hands of pastors across the globe.
Within a few years of its founding, the ministry of Shepherd Serve expanded to include service to the poor, and it ultimately evolved into the ministry of Heaven's Family, of which today Shepherd Serve is just one division.
Through print, web and video outreach, Shepherd Serve continues its tradition of equipping believers around the world with balanced, biblical truth, amplifying the teaching ministry of its founder, David Servant.
