Dear Friends,
When Sita was only two years old, her mother died of malaria, which is not uncommon in Nepal where she lives. Her father remarried soon after. Tragically, Sita’s step-mother did not want her, and she sent Sita away to live with her grandparents. But after a year of living with them, they could no longer care for her due to financial troubles. Having no other choice, they brought her to the directors of Loving Children Orphanage and begged for them to accept her. They not only accepted Sita, but they poured God’s love upon her. Sita is now six years old. She is a precious little girl who no longer feels unwanted or burdensome.
Sita loves to draw. She colored a Christmas/New Year’s card, and with the help of the directors at Loving Children Orphanage, she wrote the greetings in English. The directors sent us the card (in the picture below), and we wanted to share her beautiful artwork with you.
Because of last year’s gifts to the Christmas Gifts for Orphans Fund, we were able to send each of our forty-eight orphanages in seven nations enough money to purchase new clothes for all their children. Thank you so much, as always, for your compassion.
For the Children,
Emily Growden
