Smiles have been difficult for Mutaki Ali since the accident

Compassion that Counts

How your actions impacted one boy’s life

Dear Friends,

It was a Ugandan mother’s worst nightmare: her young child falling into a boiling pot on an open fire. Severe burns have forever scarred Mutaki Ali’s body; the memories have forever scarred his mother’s heart.

Hope has come to this family living in Kayunga, Uganda, however, because of compassionate donors like you who provided medications to relieve Mutaki’s pain and reduce the scarring on his leg, as well as visits to doctors—vital care his impoverished mother could never have afforded.

As you can see in the photo below, there is significant scarring on Mutaki’s leg and foot. Several specialists are considering surgical procedures that would reduce the muscle tension caused by the scarring.

Thank you so much for your compassion and continued prayer for Mutaki.

On behalf of Mutaki and his mother,

Together in Christ,

CJ McDaniel
