Dear Family,

Quick fixes are not the norm. And true healing and change takes a bit of time, effort…and love.

I met Daisy about 4 years ago when she was 8 months old. She was born with hydrocephaly, which caused her head to grow to scary dimensions. Medical procedures could intervene, but her mother was too poor to afford the treatment (the insertion of a shunt to let fluid properly drain).

I never forgot that encounter, and I’m thrilled to report that you and other Heaven’s Family donors provided the gifts of love necessary for Daisy’s surgery last year.

Earlier this year I met this beautiful little girl again, and watched her running and playing with the other children in her village! Her mother is joyful beyond measure, and wanted me to thank you for helping to give new life to her daughter.
