Dropping in on a new life
Your support led Hnin Nu to restoration and to God
Dear Family,
A widow with four children, Hnin Nu was completely alone. She had no family, no job, and a pile of debt. Her oldest child was only three years old when a “friend” tricked her into prostitution, where she was trapped and enslaved for two years.
Hnin Nu had met and married a man who promised to love and care for her. But instead of being cherished, she was beaten, betrayed, and forced to sell herself. After she gave birth to her fourth youngest child, Hnin Nu finally divorced him to protect herself and her children.
When Hnin Nu found our partner’s drop-in center, hope began to rise in her heart. She received intensive trauma counseling, completed vocational training, and was given a loan to open a rice shop, which is doing well! Her relationship with her children has improved immensely, but best of all, Hnin Nu and her daughter gave their lives to the Lord. What a day of celebration they had on the day they were baptized—tears of joy and laughter were abundant!
