Ngowsani West is an arid, remote and impoverished village located in Maasi Mara, Kenya. The indigenous Maasai tribe here are famous for sticking to their tribal traditions and animist religion, but the spreading of the gospel is making a major impact in this place through our hard-working ministry partner, Deb Deren, who was called to plant a church here 4 years ago.

Imagine for a moment that you are a believer in India. You were born and raised in an impoverished Hindu village and are now greatly persecuted because of your faith in Jesus. The only water source for your entire village is a single well at a Hindu temple that is controlled by the militant group that is persecuting you.
This month marks the 7th anniversary of the end of Sri Lanka's bloody civil war. Drastic numbers of Sri Lankan soldiers perished—as did many of the boys and girls who were forced to fight. Sarojini was one such child soldier. Her peaceful, happy life was ripped from her in 2007 at the age of 17. She simply never returned home from school one day.
Ester is a brave, determined 10-year-old girl who lives in Ngongongari—a village in Tanzania that is as remote as it sounds. Ester's father mercilessly beat her, as well as the other five members of her family, and she was feeling desperate for change.
