Not Forgotten

How you brought joy to desperate women in DR Congo

Dear Family,

The women who find healing at the Women’s Hope Center in the DR Congo are single, elderly, with and without children, widowed or abandoned. They have one thing in common: they all arrived destitute with no hope, but are trying to learn skills to support themselves and their families.

Desperation followed them everywhere. They considered themselves blessed if they could manage to feed their families one or two meals per day. And forget schooling for their children, as there’s no money for the simple basics of books and uniforms.

COVID-19 lockdowns eventually swept across Africa. Living day to day, with no hope of government help, many have panicked: Go to work and risk deadly infection or stay home and die of hunger. This is the desperate dilemma of the poor in much of the world.

But Jesus loves them. He hears the cries of His people! He has heard the cries of these women, and funds you provided were sent to give them food to feed their families, and soap with water containers so they can practice good hygiene during this pandemic.

They were filled with joy and gratitude when they received God’s provision one day before the lockdown came. This was not by chance, for truly Jesus has not forgotten His people!
