On the Mountain of God

Dear Friends,

I love reading the reports I receive from our national missionaries each month. Their passion for reaching the lost amazes me, and encourages me in my walk with Jesus.

Joseph Bawi is one such Heaven’s Family-supported national missionary. He directs a Bible school for the purpose of raising up the next generation of disciple-makers in Myanmar. His heart’s cry is that his students would be “committed to Christ with a broken heart and their whole being.”

About once a year, his students trek up a mountain for three days of prayer and fasting as they seek the face of God. Joseph recently told me,

“It is not what I need them to do but because Jesus needs them to be fully committed to Him so that they should be His sincere followers. This is just for our students who desire to follow Jesus. In Myanmar the harvest truly is plentiful but the laborers are few.”

I hope you too are encouraged by Joseph’s commitment!
