Orphans in Nepal Safe

All 6 of the orphans we support in Nepal are reported as being safe!

As you have probably already heard by now, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal over the weekend, leaving thousands dead and much destruction. Since Orphan’s Tear helps support 6 orphans who live with loving foster parents near the quake’s epicenter, I waited anxiously to learn if they were OK.

I’m happy and relieved to inform you that I just received word this morning from foster parents Trilok and Deepa Pradhan that their whole family is safe. According to Deepa, they are all frightened about returning to live in their house because it received some damage. The children are all staying in a nearby church that was not damaged.

Please pray for Trilok, Deepa, and their 6 foster children as they face the aftershocks, help others around them, and overcome the trauma they’ve experienced.

Heaven’s Family has set up a fund to help with relief for Nepal. You can give here.

Elizabeth, I so appreciate the updates that I get from your ministry. Whether they come from you or David I always feel I empowered to pray for my brothers and sisters more when I know what is going on in their lives. I was so encouraged to hear about meetings with the foster children’s parents to help them get out of poverty. What an amazing ministry. That is really going the extra mile to reach others for Christ!
