Dear Friends,

In this month’s mini-update, I’ve got an update about the orphans at Emmanuel Childcare Center witnessing in their school, children playing soccer in Kenya, and a prayer request from the orphanage directors in Myanmar.

Last time I shared with you how the children at Emmanuel Childcare Center in Myanmar were being persecuted for sharing their faith. This month, I’m pleased to share with you some of the fruit of their labor! The director of Emmanuel Childcare Center wrote us this month:

As this time is a schooling time we have no more time to preach the gospel to outside. But they still preach to some of their teachers and classmate everyday. One of our daughters manelyZa Hlei Thluai preached to her classmate and one of the students accepted Jesus Christ. Again Lian Thang and Ni Bik Lian also preached to the good news to one of their teachers and accepted Jesus Christ and at he same time the teacher called them for tuition and teach them freely. Every Saturday they have the Biblical studies and singings.

Praise God!

Soccer is the most popular sport in the world, so to see children playing soccer at Covenant Kids Home in Kenya is no surprise. These orphans have started their own soccer team. According to the director of Covenant Kids Home, the boys train daily, and this month they will begin to play against other orphanages in town.

Children playing soccer is a common sight at many of our orphanages. When we ask our Orphan’s Tear-sponsored children what their favorite activity is, the majority of the boys around the world say “soccer!” And if you watch them, they are quite good at it, too.

Pray for Health

It’s now the rainy season in Myanmar, and that brings with it malaria-infested mosquitos and a slew of other viruses. We are receiving emails every day from the orphanage directors in Myanmar asking us to pray for the children who are sick, and to help them pay the expenses from the clinics and pharmacy. Please join with us and pray for the health of the orphans.

Thanks so Much!

As always, thanks to every orphan sponsor, and to everyone who has given to the Orphan’sTear Special Gifts Fund, the Dorms for Orphanages Fund, the Rice Fields for Orphanages Fund,or the Education Fund! Your gifts are making a difference in the lives of orphans, and they are eternally grateful.

For the children,

Charity McDaniel
