Pakistani Praises

A Pakistani family rejoices over God’s goodness to them in their time of need

Dear Friends,

Many areas in Pakistan were once again hit with devastating monsoon rains last year. When one of our trusted partners in Pakistan told me about the dire circumstances believers were experiencing—some losing everything—my heart went out to them. I am still deeply moved by my memories of the suffering of the Pakistani flood victims that I witnessed during my visit in 2010.

I sent $3,500 from the Disaster Relief Fund in early October to help 100 families with emergency food bundles to get them back on their feet. Most of the families were Christians, but some were tribal Hindus (still common in the mostly Muslim nation) very open to the gospel.

Not only were the saints praising God for His provision, but dozens of Hindu families put their trust in Jesus as well after seeing His love demonstrated through this outreach. Contrary to what many Americans think, Pakistan is not a nation lost to Islam. Jesus’ church is strong there, having had to endure ongoing, severe persecution, but its fields are “white for harvest.”

Thanks for your generous gifts that made this ministry of relief possible. If you would like to help these families with additional food supplies to carry them through the winter, please click the donate button below and I will make sure we forward those gifts as soon as possible to those most in need.

Below are a few photos that tell the story…

Below are photos of some of the dozens of baptisms performed after many responded to the gospel.

And finally, a gathering of our brothers and sisters in Christ for the baptism service (note the curious little spectator in the foreground!)

Serving the “least of these” together with you,
