Inmates responding to the gospel in prayer

Rejoicing in Heaven!

Much fruit harvested this summer in the prisons of Cameroon

Dear Friends,

It is with great joy that I am sending you this report from our minister in Cameroon, Africa. The vision of Heaven’s Family’s Prison & Rehab Ministry is to win souls and make disciples, and with your help, that’s exactly what we are doing in the prisons of Africa. Our faithful chaplain has been ministering in the prisons of Cameroon for 26 years. Here are some quotes from a report I recently received:

In the month of June we carried out a missionary trip to the Prison of Yoko which is one of the colonial prisons where hardened criminals are kept. We went there to preach the complete Gospel of Jesus Christ and we did that. We backed the word with food and other physical gifts like clothes, shoes, tooth brushes and pastes, soap, slippers etc. While there we found an inmate with a very big painful hernia. We made a second trip to Yoko in the same month and this inmate was successfully operated and relieved of this pain. The best news is that he surrendered to Christ to give a total of 43 inmates that gave their lives in this prison in June. Glory be to God.

In the month of July, We carried out an evangelistic campaign in the Bertoua Central prison. We preached the word to the whole prison of 600 inmates and over 150 surrendered their lives to Christ. We give him all the Glory. We also rendered a complete gospel by giving food and many material gifts to the prisoners.

In the month of August we carried out baptism of 6 converted inmates and two of them Boko Haram militants. These ones came into prison as Muslims and having heard the gospel believed and repented from their sins and underwent inquirer classes to be baptized. Besides the 140 inmates that attended this baptismal celebration, 25 surrendered to Christ.

I am very grateful to all those who’ve given to the Prison & Rehab Ministry. You make this ministry possible. Together we are investing in God’s kingdom. Please pray for us as we travel to many places in the world to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

May God richly bless you,

Bob Collins
Director, Prison & Rehab Ministry

Matt. 25:39-40
And when did we see You sick or in prison and visit You?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you did it to Me.’
