Snapshots of Orphanage Life

Dear Friends,

This month I’m sharing with you a sampling of the reports we’ve recently received from the orphanages. All of the reports from the orphanages will soon be posted online and you’ll be able to view them in your account. This is just one of the ways we help you keep up-to-date with what is going on in the life of your sponsored child! Thanks so much for being a blessing in their lives.

Haiti – Happy to be Playing Again

From the director:

Unfortunately one of our child, Marie Michel François, has been touched by Cholera. It was a great trials for the orphanage and a great anxiety. Most of the children has been also touched by measles. They start getting recovered. Some of them had fever and cold, but they were healed.

We are glad to see they are on the road to recovery and are outside playing again!

Malawi – Sleeping in a Bed for the First Time

Can you imagine sleeping on a cane mat on the floor for your whole life? And then sleeping on a real mattress in a bed for the first time? I bet the children at Yesu Ngwadidi Children’s Home in Malawi were so excited they could hardly sleep! Thanks so much to everyone who has donated to the Orphan’s Tear Special Gifts Fund! You made this possible.

Myanmar – School Break

All of the schools in Myanmar are now closed for summer, and the directors write and tell us the children are attending Vacation Bible School, playing games, doing arts and crafts, learning English, and of course, helping out around the orphanages too!

Happy birthday! One of the children at Living Hope Orphanage turns one year old.

And construction begins… on a new kitchen for Shalom Orphanage. Here they are dedicating their building project to the Lord.

Thanks so much!

As always, thanks to every orphan sponsor, and to everyone who has given to Orphan’s Tear! Your gifts are making a difference in the lives of orphans, and we are eternally grateful.

For the children,

Charity McDaniel
