Stitching a life back together

How you restored an abandoned woman in Kenya

Dear Family,

Stellah Chepchirchir’s future looked bright: the Kenyan teen had completed high school and one year at a vocational sewing school.

But Stellah’s life fell apart at the seams when a young man who promised to marry her fled upon learning she was pregnant, and then she lost a housekeeping job when her boss also found out.

A tender 20, Stellah felt destitute and hopeless.

But God was drawing her, and she began attending a church where she met our partner. She soon contacted me and told me Stellah’s story. She asked if Heaven’s Family friends might want to help this single mom complete her sewing program so she could support herself and her new baby, helping to break the cycle of poverty.

Your compassionate heart responded, and now Stellah is already able to sell some of her work in the market!

Stellah responded, “I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Almighty God for enabling us to [survive] 2019…Sewing is always my dream and you made my dream come true.”

THANK YOU for “sewing” your love into the life of Stellah and all the ladies and children we serve together!

Blessings,

Dossie Briggs
