As a young man, God captured my heart and transformed my life in a powerful way. I knew Christ and was encouraged to pursue him even from a young age. But as a young man, the often-told biblical story of Daniel’s three friends who would not compromise their faith in the King of Kings—even in the face of death—set me on a new course in life. Just as they would not compromise, God used this powerful story to call me to a life of no compromise for Him. And as God often does, he called me out of my path of personal ambition and into a life of mission service and, with my wife Erin and our two children, have been serving in His global mission for more than 20 years.
After interning at an international church in North Africa, I earned a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies from Wheaton College, where God introduced me to the wider missionary community that has guided each step of my vocational ministry. I have served in pastoral ministry, international missions and university mobilization. Additionally, my wife and I have previously owned a business, and believe God has given us both an entrepreneurial spirit. Most recently, I led an organization that helped short-term missionaries use their gifts and passions around the world.
In 2018, my wife and I sensed the Lord leading us to explore what could be next in our missionary service. And after 13 wonderful years mobilizing volunteer missionaries, God gave us a new ministry family with Heaven’s Family. It is my pleasure to serve alongside the Microloan Ministry team as the Regional Director for North Africa. My ministry continues Heaven’s Family’s outreach with micro-bankers and borrowers in North Africa through microloans, spiritual discipleship and business training. Please pray for me and the Microloan Ministry as we open doors of opportunity for families living in poverty.
