Damaged but now determined women celebrate success

Dear Family,

The bright colors and smiling faces of these young women in DR Congo exude contagious joy! Though they have endured pain and shame at the deepest level, they have made the choice to rise up and believe that they can have a future and a hope, despite the toughest odds a woman in Africa can face.

All humans suffer loss at certain points in life—it can be emotional, physical or spiritual. Or all three. Grief can affect our relationships, our status in certain situations, and our sense of hope. But no matter what season we are in, let’s be like these beautiful women, and make the choice to trust…because Jesus is always a present help in time of need.

Thank you to those of you who help the Victims of Sexual Violence Ministry bring hope to the triumphant women pictured above as they rejoice in the completion of the Women of Wellness vocational program where they’ve worked so hard.

To God be the glory, great things He has done!
