It's difficult to believe that an $85 bicycle is beyond the financial means of thousands of pastors in developing countries, but when your income is less than two dollars per day, $85 is about three month's income. The amount of $85 is a small sacrifice for most Christians in Western nations, but it can result in a huge blessing for church-planters around the world. And when a native evangelist rides his new bicycle to a remote, unreached area, the one who provided the bicycle shares in the joy of his success in making new disciples.

I Was Hungry has provided hundreds of bicycles for native pastors. We recently received the following report from our primary Kenya partner about the difference one bycycle has made in the life of a pastor named Cleophas:

I met with Cleophas last week, and his face was shinning with a big smileonhisface.He said life has been good. Withthe help of the bicycle, he has plantedthreemore churches in two months. Also there is joy in his home as every Tuesday he takes groceries with the bicycle to a big market, and thus he can make some money from doing that. In return his family is experiencing new strength, there is new life in his marriage, and he says he is now enjoying ministry like never before....He says "God bless you, I am healed."
