Heaven's Family is committed to financial transparency and integrity

The ministry of Heaven's Family and its staff are committed to financial integrity and transparency. To that end, below are links to our most recent 990 forms, which the Internal Revenue Service of the United States requires annually from all non-profit corporations except churches. All non-profits are also required to make their 990 forms available to the public, as they reveal key financial information of interest to donors regarding program, advertising and administrative expenses, as well as salaries.

One of Heaven's Family's core principles is that we will never exploit the poor whom we strive to serve. For that reason, we've developed many focused funds that carry a guarantee that 100% of what is given to those funds is sent overseas to meet pressing needs that meet each fund's criteria. Nothing is removed for administrative expenses. So if you contribute $20 to sponsor an orphan, for example, all $20 is sent overseas to the orphanage where your sponsored child lives.

All of Heaven's Family's staff salaries and administrative costs are paid for by those who contribute to the general fund. Many of our staff raise all or part of their own personal support from friends and family members, and in 2010, no employee was paid more than $33,000, including myself.

Everyone works hard to keep our administrative costs as low as we can. Moreover, Heaven's Family carries no debt.

We believe that trust is something that must be earned. So we do our best to communicate with donors—through our monthly magazine, our blog, and specific fund email updates—to keep them informed about what their contributions are accomplishing around the world.

If you have any questions about the ministry of Heaven's Family, please don't hesitate to contact us. We are here to serve you as you compassionately care for "the least of these" among Jesus' family.

Sincerely in Christ,

David

Note: Filing deadlines for 990 Forms are November 1 for the previous year. So Heaven's Family's 2011 990 Form will be submitted to the I.R.S. and posted here on our website before December 1, 2012. The I.R.S. allows non-profits plenty of time to complete their 990 Forms, because the form is so lengthy and complicated.
