Grateful Guatemalans

How you provided Christmas for volcano survivors

Dear Family,

When I heard of the victims of Volcan de Fuego in Guatemala who are still suffering, my heart really went out to them. Volcan de Fuego erupted June 3 of 2018, and still 28 families are displaced without anywhere to call home. To make matters worse for these families who lost their homes, lands, and family members, they are being pushed by the government to leave the camps where they have lived since they fled the disaster. They have nowhere to go.The government stopped helping them with food assistance because they want the people to leave this camp.

I immediately sent funds to help them with food for the Christmas holidays and for a couple of months.

The longterm solution, of course, is to help them become self-sustaining and independent. Thankfully, Heaven’s Family’s Disaster Relief Ministry is working toward this goal. I am very thankful for the ‘us’ in Jesus, because we need each other!

Thank you for all of your faithful support and prayers for the Refugee Ministry. It is really you doing this work, we are only your hands and feet.

Thanks for loving Jesus,
