Satisfying the Greater Hunger

You’re training disciple makers as well as great farmers

Dear Family,

Thanks to your partnership with Heaven’s Family’s Farming God’s Way Ministry, our Summit meeting brought all our East Africa FGW trainers together. Our goal was to train them in disciple-multiplication tools. I received this report from Oni in Zimbabwe:

With the groups that I train in FGW for six months, I do Bible study every Wednesday. My wife does Bible study with the sewing and cooking group on Thursdays. For the last 19 years, many of the learners have asked me if there is any method or tool they could use to understand the Bible better and grow in their Christian life. I didn’t have a tool that I could present to them to cater to that need. When we went to Uganda, Jerry taught us about discipleship using S.O.A.P.S. and the 3/3rds Bible study program. I knew right away that this is what my farmers back home are hungry for.

When I got home from Uganda, I hit the ground running and began to teach on that. I started with the first Session on S.O.A.P.S. and I pray that I will complete all the sessions with them. After the first session, they said they can’t wait for more. One farmer, a 19-year-old girl who used to go to a non-Bible-reading “church,” stopped going there and is now looking for a Bible to start using the S.O.A.P.S. tool. Praise the Lord!

Please pray for her and others in the group to see the light and follow Jesus.

On behalf of the farmers, thank you for your prayers and support. God bless.

Jesus said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Thank you for helping feed the hungry and equipping them to feed others.
