The plight of poor, hungry subsistence farmers and their families grieves my heart. There’s no need for them to face constant poverty and hunger because God created the earth to abundantly provide for all mankind to feed themselves. Through Christian discipleship, together with loving, Christian community and biblically-based farming techniques, impoverished farmers are learning how to increase their harvests—and end the dreaded annual hunger seasons. Most importantly, they are developing a deeply-rooted faith in Christ that produces new disciples.
