The Man Who Wouldn’t Run
Bombed-out buildings, burned-up cars, piles of rubble—and the blank stares of wounded and frightened people. These have become the familiar images of the Syrian civil war we watch from the safety of our living rooms.
Below are just a few of the many testimonies we receive about lives being impacted and transformed by the Micro-Loan Ministry of Heaven’s Family.

As the end of 2016 approaches, we are in awe of what God has accomplished in and through the Micro-Loan Ministry (MLM) this year. The MLM not only continues to grow in our number of borrowers and micro-bankers, but also within our own team.
While on our latest trip to Saboti, Kenya we visited with Cleophas (a Heaven's Family micro-banker) who introduced us to Rachel—a new borrower of his micro bank. This amazing woman owns a small restaurant where she sells tea and baked goods.
Rafael Simeu lives in Saboti, Kenya with his wife and five children. Through meeting Silas Masoned, a Heaven's Family partner who pastors the church he attends, Rafael was able to procure a loan to fund his idea for a small business—a furniture store.
Summer here at home for us is winding down; children are returning to school. A few weeks ago we traveled to the city of Cap Haitien, Haiti, where we conducted our Small Business Training (SBT). This 2-day training was attended by 171 Haitians from the area. Heaven's Family is blessed to be partnering with Pittsburgh Kids Foundation and IDADEE, an orphanage in Cap Haitien serving more than 120 orphans.
