The endless quacking has begun! The ducks you see in the photos are the first of many generations that will help sustain Zion Orphanage in Yangon, Myanmar. While their feathers and meat can generate income, Tha Cung Bik, Zion’s entrepreneurial director, plans to take advantage of the ducks’ egg-laying capacity. It seems that duck eggs are in high demand in Myanmar, giving the orphanage a good return on their investment. Because of your gift that enabled their startup loan, Zion’s new duck egg business will help Tha Cung Bik meet the needs of the children under his care even better, and make the orphanage more self-reliant.
