Nu Nem and Van Bor from Love in Action Children’s Home watched their friends pass them on their bicycles each day as they would walk three miles to their high school. Once they would get back from school, they’d be exhausted from the hours spent at school and the six-mile roundtrip hike. Seeing their difficulty, their compassionate orphanage director wrote to me and asked if we could provide bicycles for the girls. The bikes would cut their travel time in half, he said, and give them more time and energy for their homework. That made sense to me! Because of gifts to Orphan’s Tear’s Special Projects Fund, we purchased two bicycles for the girls. They were so happy to receive the bikes, and now they ride to school each day with their friends!
