Baptism in a Fish Pond

19 Sep

Bawi Ram Thang receives baptism on Easter Sunday in a fish pond.

I happened to be searching through old emails the other day and came across one from Joshua, the director of Shalom Orphanage in Kalaymyo, Myanmar. He wrote about two of his orphans that had given their hearts to the Lord and were baptized soon afterwards in a nearby fish pond!

Shalom Family is so happy that there are two children (Bawi Ram Thang & Uk Cung) who got baptized on Easter Sunday morning as they accepts Jesus Christ as their personal savior and Lord.

Joshua’s email was such a good reminder to me that the main purpose of Orphan’s Tear is to follow God’s command to take care of orphans (James 1:27)…and that means meeting their spiritual needs as well as their physical needs.

Until the whole world hears,

Director, Orphan’s Tear division
