Feeding Hungry Little Hearts In the Philippines

Impoverished Children In the Philippines Receive Hot Meals & Jesus 

Yammy attends the children’s Sunday school and feeding program located in a rural village in Mindanao, Philippines. Her father left her family a year ago. Her mother struggles to feed the family by working as a house maid. Yammy and her brother are sometimes left at home with little supervision. On Sunday she and her brother come to class so they will learn about Jesus instead of roaming around while mother is at work.

The program is serving three rural, remote locations and is comprised of 185 children. The Heaven’s Family Food Ministry has come alongside our ministry partners here who are reaching out to these poor families, leading them to Jesus, discipling them, and feeding the children who struggle to get enough food at home.

Hunger is a big problem among these poor families and meeting the urgent for need food demonstrates the love of Jesus to these otherwise overlooked people. They come to the Bible classes and their little hungry hearts open up to the Lord.

The children take turns giving testimonies from the week or simply give thanks to God. They are all encouraged to take part in the fellowship. Then comes Bible teaching, singing, skits, games, and a hot meal. The kids have a wonderful time!
