God remembered Gloria

A hopeless young girl gets a golden opportunity

Dear Family,

When little Gloria’s mother died, her aunt took her in and promised that she could attend school. But that promise was soon broken, as there was no money to pay for school. Instead, Gloria became her aunt’s live-in house maid.

As her aunt looked for work, Gloria was left alone every day to care for her seven-month-old cousin and complete the household chores. Her aunt left one cup of porridge in the house each day, but Gloria dared not eat any of it because it was for the baby. This distraught Kenyan girl was hungry, alone and hopeless.

But then, hope showed up! As Gloria explains, “One day God remembered me when Madam Carolyne passed by our house and heard the baby crying loudly. She popped in to see why the baby was crying. She found me and I shared my story. She felt so sorry and visited my auntie later in the evening.”

Thanks to your faithful giving to Heaven’s Family’s Education Ministry, Carolyne, the founder of Jocada Academy, could offer to cover all of Gloria’s school fees. All her aunt had to do was say “yes.”

Now a thriving Jocada student, Gloria says, “Since I started coming to school, my life has changed. I now have friends to play with. I have found joy. I get my lunch from here. I learn freely and enjoy the love of Jesus Christ. I believe one day when I grow up, I will be helping those children who do not have their mother like me. Thank you for helping Madam Carolyne to bless us. I am praying for you so much.”

To God be all the glory!
