Dear Friend,
This month I wanted to highlight one very special orphan: Man Sian Muang! She lives at Bethel Childcare Center in a remote town in Myanmar known as Kalaymyo. Her mother died during childbirth and her father abandoned her. This precious follower of Jesus is not currently sponsored, and without consistent support it will be hard to provide for her basic needs like food and clothing. Bethel Childcare Center in Myanmar cares for many more orphans just like Man Sian Muang.
Did you know when you sponsor an orphan, every quarter, you can get updated news about the orphanage where your child lives by logging in to your online account at OrphansTear.org and clicking on My Account > Sponsorship and Giving History > My Children > View This Child’s Orphanage. You can also download pictures of your sponsored children to print or use as desktop wallpaper on your computer.
We are committed to doing our best to provide annually-updated photos of Orphan’s Tear-sponsored children by working with our indigenous overseas partners. When we post new photos of one of your sponsored children at OrphansTear.org, we’ll inform you by email.
I’m so excited about 2011 for Orphan’s Tear! Be on the lookout for our new website including features such as Live Chats and a Director’s Blog. I am also incredibly thankful that you’ve chosen to invest in the lives of these children, and I want to do my very best to keep you up-to-date, albeit from afar, in their day-to-day lives. And remember, when you sponsor an orphan through Orphan’s Tear, 100% of what we receive from you is sent to the Christian orphanage where your child lives. On their behalf, thank you so much!
In Christ,
Emily Growden
Director, Orphan’s Tear Division
