No digging through trash this month!

You’ve helped relieve hundreds of hungry mothers and children in Uganda

Dear Family,

Several months ago, we received an urgent cry for help from our trusted partner in Mubende District, Uganda requesting food assistance for many suffering widows, abandoned mothers, and teen moms in his community. He reported that the babies and children had no food and were going to sleep hungry.

Many of these girls and women would search through rubbish pits every day, looking for food for their families. They drink hot water to satisfy their empty bellies. The old and sick wait for good samaritans to bring them something to eat, because they cannot go digging for food.

Our partner wrote, “We tried to help as local church groups with the little we had, but the crisis has become more serious and I am scared that it is likely to cause death and sickness, especially for the babies and children. I am writing to you, requesting immediate food or any small donations to our community to help solve the problems that our community is facing.”

Praise be to God! Through Heaven’s Family’s Widows & Abandoned Women Ministry you provided emergency food relief. As a result, 217 single teen moms, abandoned mothers, and widows received rice, beans, maize flour, milk powder, sugar, oil, and soy beans at the church center. They also heard about the God who loves them and heard their cries. Deliveries were also made to 39 old and sick women who could not travel.

Thank you for showing these ladies the love of Jesus through your kindness, caring and compassion!
