Responding to Disaster in the Bahamas
You have an opportunity to make a difference
Dear Family,
I’m sure you’ve watched in horror the media’s coverage of the devastation wrought by Hurricane Dorian this week in the Bahamas. Although known as a tourist destination and getaway for the rich, the vast majority of the Bahamian people, scattered across many of the 700 islands that make up that nation, are very poor and without the means to recover on their own.
That’s why it’s imperative that members of the body of Christ take action, showing the world His love and compassion.
This week I’ve been reaching out to contacts in the Bahamas to form a strategy for action, and now I pass on to you the opportunity to get involved. We will only be helping the poorest, most desperately in need with vital supplies such as food, safe drinking water, and whatever else is urgently needed.
