Tapping in to Clean Water

I Tapping in to Clean Water

Persistent prayers for water have been answered for the people of Nawiyapak Village, South Sudan

This young girl is drinking pure, clean water from one of the four taps of the deep well you helped to make possible. She is no longer drinking from open puddles and ponds or digging in the soil to scratch out a cup of water

Praise the Lord! Water is flowing! Our ministry partners have updated us how the villagers of Nawiyapak continue to rejoice that they have received clean drinking water. And, they reminded us of how the villagers were so persistent in praying for clean water.

It was not an easy project. Finding abundant water in this arid location was challenging. It proved to be a longer road to completion than expected, but thanks to prayer, perseverance and to generous gifts from donors to the Heaven’s Family Safe Water Ministry we, together, met success.

The old days. Due to the scarcity of water the people would drink water where-ever they could find it.

Upon the first drilling attempt, the water strike was not sufficient to meet the needs of the community. The people were so disappointed and their hearts were heavy. However, the believers in the village were not bitter, they kept their trust in the Lord.

They kept praying, persistent in asking the Lord to open an opportunity to provide them with water.

A second drilling attempt was organized and brought abundant clean water! A deep well was completed with a solar pump, water storage, and four taps. Now, there is no worry of thirst and their health is so much improved. No longer are they spending hours and hours looking for water.

Wu hoo!

The impact on the church has been great. The church is becoming stronger, the people know the Lord answers prayer, that He hears the prayers of His people. Thank you for your amazing generosity and thank you for your prayers for the church and their unbelieving neighbors who look on. May all who come to drink at this well come to know Jesus who is Living Water.

Thank you!
