Students Graduate To Clean Water

You are looking at the graduating 7th grade class of Heaven’s Family Academy school in rural Kenya. They are greeting you from in front of the deep well that was drilled by the Heaven’s Family Safe Water Ministry.

Dear Family,

Our trusted and long-time ministry partners in Kenya started this rural Christian school. They shared the gospel to the entire community and saw how the impoverished, rural kids had no good option for school. They took action and opened the school. The Heaven’s Family Education Ministry partnering with them.

The kids work hard, excel in the classroom and learn about Jesus and to follow Him. And wow, the students are doing great! This humble school serving the poorest kids in the community has a #1 ranking in its group of 25 in the broader region.

But, there was a BIG problem. The school did not have access to clean water nor did the local community. They suffered without water. The kids would have to go far to fetch water for their families and so struggled to make it to class on time. — Not easy to daily go hither and yon on foot, trekking far distances, up and down hills carrying heavy water buckets plus stressing about getting to school on time.

Now, this burden has been lifted from these young scholars. Thanks to generous gifts to the Heaven’s Family Safe Water Ministry we were able to drill a deep well at the school. The gift of abundant, clean water has contributed greatly to improving the health and well-being of the kids. They have water to drink, to wash-up & the teachers and kitchen staff love it as well as the community. Everyone is so grateful.
